- I got pretty involved with the iota art in coptic calture, egypt. After learning it the old school way from a man called Girgis at the retreatfarm Anafora, I made a lot of abstract iota art, ensorbing the meditative way of this more then a millenia old, square structured form. Then a lot of SACRED GEOMETRY, a really awesome science/art pictorial knowledge. Then a lot of collages, drawings, rorscharch experiments, and such. I never get very good at political issues in my art, even if i wanted now that i do have very much strong concerns in many political and moral issues! But religious symbolism and aestethics compells to me a lot. Not very far fetched, since i am raised in a protestant christian family (son of a preacherman!), and am now in a fase of adopting wicca beliefs. martin.hollmer@gmail.com
